#BREWFATHER VS BEERSMITH UPDATE#
We’ll update that column as we get closer to the event date. Clicking the + at the top right we can enter a new recipe with the down arrow we can import one (supported formats are Brewfather JSON and BeerXML, universal format that almost all recipes programs, including BeerSmith, adopt already from years). Since the COVID situation is ever-changing, we’ve listed the future meetings all as TBD since we’re constantly changing what we’re doing based on what’s happening around us. We finally arrive at the cornerstone of the program, the creation of the recipe. Just looking to try something new and looking for input.
If you have a recipe using LME or DME and would like to convert to a similar amount of base grains (or vice versa) choose the quantity and type of extract and your estimated brewhouse efficiency, and convert. From an app perspective brewfather is a bit more advanced, has an inventory option and, water calcs etc. My BeerSmith just crashed and I lost my last recipe and brew day measurements. Converts between LME/DME and base grain weights while preserving the same gravity.
Guest Presenter: Devil May Care Brewing Co. The free will import xml, Do try - no uploads on the free version GF has heaps of recipes on there, you can create your own equipment profile - so dont need a grainfather.
